No shortage of curry houses where i am

Today I have made up a massive batch of curry sauce for the freezer. It’s been too cold, wet and windy to go outside. Although no longer in blitey I still like to uphold the British traditions: Friday night = eight pints of lager plus a vindaloo. Our nearest curry house is a four-hour return trip so we have to be self sufficient. I’ve also been doing some research into growing cumin. We already grow onions, garlic, peppers, chillies, bay-leaves, coriander and fennel so it’s the only missing basic ingredient that’s stopping me growing my own curry sauce.

Buy a place in Brazil Alexander, that is more practical long term.

You may need to buy a boat also to get there!

If we are wrong and it all blows over and recovery is on the horizon in July and Alaister and his army of highly paid advisors are right the worst that can happen is that you have another option for a holiday home.

I am heading in the same direction now also,i think the tipping point has now passed so not so much point in complaining about the ruling clasess and offering helpful suggestions anymore. they will never listen and by the time circumstance forces them to it will be too late.

That is becoming clear now. I am changing my name to Noah !!

Don’t see how you can lose by preparing for the worst. Better food in a tin than money in a bank is what I say! If the worst happens food will be the new currency and you’ll be well off. If it doesn’t you’ll have enough stuff saved up for a really good end-of-depression party /wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_surprised.gif' alt=':o' class='wp-smiley' /> )

(Not sure if I can post since I'm not a member of the group)

I have today started to stockpile tinned food with long sell-by dates; probably a bit late in the day. If I can persuade the kids to stop playing football in the back yard I'll turn that into a vegetable patch...

Last year I would never even have considered doing anything like this; in the last few months I've become increasingly concerned that the economy will collapse.

I'm still not as convinced as Mr Bray that this will actually happen, but I think it's only prudent to be prepared for it if it does...
