What do we actually want to do about it?

Having followed all the discussions so far (admittedly mostly as an observer) I have to say that this is not that clear to me what the purpose of the Lobby Group actually IS.
We need some convincing answers to the following: What difference will that make to anything? Will it make my job more secure? [...]

What exactly is lobbying?

Maybe we should discuss this first of all?
My understanding is “affecting of – or attempting to affect – the actions/decisions of the public sector by the private sector”. Clumsy I know but it’s a starting point for discussion.
